12 Electric Dirt Bike Error Codes: Checks Before Support

Seeing a code on the display can interrupt a good ride, but it also gives you a useful place to start. On the Yozma IN 10and IN 10 Pro, some codes simply show what the bike is doing. Others point to the system that needs attention. This electric bike error code list explains the codes in our current owner manuals and helps you collect the right details if you need us.

The current IN 10 and IN 10 Pro manuals use the same status code table. Keep the manual for your bike close by, and save a clear photo whenever the display shows something unexpected.

What a Display Code Tells You

Think of the display as a guide to the area of the bike that needs a closer look. A communication code, for example, identifies a communication issue. It does not automatically mean the display, controller, or another component needs replacing.

Before switching the bike off, take a photo and note when the code appeared: at startup, after a ride, during charging, or after mud, moisture, or an impact. That context often tells us more than the code by itself.

Electric Bike Error Codes List for the IN 10 and IN 10 Pro

The following meanings come from the current Yozma IN 10 and IN 10 Pro owner manuals. Three entries are operating states rather than faults, and one is reserved.

Display codeMeaning in the Yozma manualWhat the rider should know
E00Normal statusThis is a normal status, not an error.
E01ReservedThe manual does not assign it a rider action. Save a photo if it remains visible.
E02Brake errorPark the bike until the braking system has been checked.
E04Walk assist modeThis identifies an operating mode, not a component failure.
E05Real time cruiseThis is a status indication rather than a fault code.
E06Low voltage protectionThe bike is protecting the system in response to low voltage. Follow the charging instructions for your model.
E07Motor errorThe motor system needs attention; the code does not by itself call for a replacement motor.
E08Throttle errorPark the bike and note what happened when the throttle code appeared.
E09Controller errorThe controller system needs attention, but replacement is not an automatic first step.
E10Communications errorThe bike has detected a communication problem between systems.
E12BMS communications errorThe battery management system has reported a communication problem. Let our support team guide the next check.
E13Front light errorCheck the visible condition of the front light and its external wiring.

Where These Systems Are on Your Yozma

The next three images show the systems named by E07, E08, and E09. Use them to identify the area mentioned on the display. A code helps us choose the next check; it does not prove that the pictured component needs replacing.

Motor System

E07 points to the motor system. Record when the code appeared and what the bike was doing at the time, then include those details when you contact us.

Throttle Control

E08 identifies the throttle system. A photo of the throttle area and any visible external damage gives our support team useful context without opening the control.

Controller System

E09 names the controller system, while E10 reports a communication issue. Save the complete display photo and describe the riding moment so we can read the code in context.

What to Check Before Contacting Support

You can gather the most useful information in a couple of minutes, with no disassembly.

  1. Park and switch off. Release the throttle and bring the bike to a complete stop first.
  2. Photograph the full display. Include the code, battery indication, and any other visible icons.
  3. Write down the moment. Was the bike powering on, standing still, or moving when the code appeared?
  4. Give the bike a visual check. Look for a loose external plug, pinched cable, impact damage, mud buildup, or moisture around accessible connections.
  5. Open the right manual. Use the instructions for your exact model on our User Manual page.

If the manual calls for charging, use the charger supplied for your model and follow its charging instructions. Our battery storage guide also explains how to care for the battery between rides.

When Yozma Support Should Take the Next Step

Bring us in when a brake, throttle, motor, controller, or BMS communication code stays on the display or returns after a normal restart. We also want to hear from you if the bike behaves unexpectedly, a cable or connector is visibly damaged, or the battery or electrical system shows unusual heat, odor, swelling, leakage, or discoloration.

Leave sealed electrical components and protection systems intact. Yozma parts are model specific, and the display code is only one piece of the diagnosis. If the bike needs a part, we can help confirm the correct fit. You can also browse our Yozma replacement parts and accessories after the required part has been identified.

What to Send Yozma Support

A complete first message helps us move from the code to the right next step. Include:

  • Your bike model: IN 10 or IN 10 Pro
  • Your order number
  • A clear photo of the complete display
  • The exact code and whether it stays visible or comes and goes
  • What the bike was doing immediately before the code appeared
  • Clear photos of any visible damage
  • A short video if the issue involves an unusual sound or behavior

Send these details through our Contact Us page. From there, we can confirm the appropriate check, service step, or compatible replacement part and help get your Yozma ready for its next ride.

Electric Bike Error Code FAQs

These answers cover the questions riders most often have when a code first appears.

Does every E code indicate a fault?

No. In the current Yozma manuals, E00 means normal status, E04 identifies walk assist mode, and E05 identifies real time cruise. E01 is reserved. The remaining listed codes identify systems that need attention.

Do the IN 10 and IN 10 Pro use the same error codes?

The current IN 10 and IN 10 Pro manuals publish the same status code table. Always check the latest manual for your exact model in case the display or documentation is updated.

Can I clear an electric bike error code by restarting the bike?

A normal shutdown and restart can show whether the code was temporary, but a code that returns still needs attention. Photograph it first, then send us the details if it appears again.

Should I replace the part named by the error code?

Not based on the code alone. A motor, controller, throttle, or communication code identifies the system reporting the issue. Let us confirm the right next step before you order an electrical replacement part.

What if my display code is not in this list?

Take a clear photo of the display, note your model and what the bike was doing, and contact Yozma Support. Error code meanings can differ between brands and display systems.
